Marriage Preparation

Meets by arrangements. To provide engaged couples planning marriage in the Catholic Church meaningful preparation for married life: To help the couple assess their own readiness for marriage. To offer information and opportunities for discussion to help them make an informed decision. To provide a stimulus for deeper communication and sharing as a couple. Serves couples within the parish and those associated with USM. The Marriage Preparation process is a sequence of planned events including meeting with the priest, completion of a written survey and review of results, and group sessions with a married couple, all organized under the program entitled “When Families Marry.” Married couples interested in being trained as lead couples for the group sessions should contact Fr. Mark. St. Thomas helps prepare many engaged couples who are affiliated with USM and who plan to be married elsewhere. We are always in need of married couples willing to share their experiences, time and talents to assist in this ministry. Contact: Fr. Mark at church office 601-264-5192
